Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it. -Helen Keller

About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Austin, Texas. I work with adults and adolescents and provide services for individuals, couples, families and groups. I specialize in helping people achieve more satisfaction in their lives by gaining self awareness and increasing their ability to relate with others. I strive to create a safe place where my clients can learn, grow and find new ways of relating to themselves, others and the world.

As a therapist I strive to be patient, gentle and listen deeply. I love to laugh but am also available to join my clients in deep sadness, pain and fear. My goal is to know and understand each individual as fully as possible and to do this I must be able to feel and contain joy, anxiety, rage, grief, shame, and numbness. I work to stretch my capacity to feel and tolerate as much of the human experience as possible. It has been the most challenging work of my life and also the most deeply satisfying.
